Dell Design Studio Contest Winning Laptop Designs

Advertorial

I had always wanted to “zhng” (DIY decoration) my laptop so that it doesn’t appear so boring and feeling so much like work everytime I carry it around.  However my frequent travels mean that colorful laptop skins with lots of interesting designs are out of the question – it usually starts to tear and crumble after 1-2 long trips.  Not very economical to replace them considering that they cost rather expensive (over $20!).  Thankfully, Dell came up with a series of Studio laptops with a wide selection of very unique printed designs – these are printed directly on the laptop, thus more long-lasting than typical laptop skins.

Dell had also recently launched a Dell Design Studio Contest where everyone is invited to submit their preferred designs for the Dell Studio series laptop.  The winning designs are just awesome from colorful floral design to a simplistic and cute pink ribbon design!

Dell Design Studio Contest Best Entry as selected by Promoter

The Flora by Jonna Chen was the winning design in this category.  The winner was determined solely by judges selected by the Promoter.  For her efforts, she won a Dell Studio 15 Laptop featuring her own original design!  She also receives SGD 2500 in shopping vouchers.  This design features an interesting contrast of just 4 colors – Red, Black, White and Blue to present a beautiful yet simple portrait of floral patterns.  I like how she avoids the use of conventional colors e.g. green to represent leaves and instead to focus on the red of the flower, bringing out even more clearly the floral design.

Dell Design Studio Contest Most Popular Design by Vote

The  Ribbon Madness by Kelly Ong was the winning design in this category.  The winner was determined based on the number of votes at the end of the competition.  She receives SGD 1000 in shopping vouchers.  This is a relatively simple design with a girlish touch – making the laptop look like a present.  Another feature I like about this design is the random stars interspersed with the ribbon strap, looking this design even more innocent-looking and cute.

The Dell Studio 15 laptops comes with a wide range of design patterns – one of its most prominent designs include the OPI series which provides ladies with the opportunity to match their laptop with their favorite nail colors, bringing new meaning to the term girlie accessories.  Now, even your laptop can be matched to your outfit, be it for work, school or play.

Besides a beautiful design, Dell Studio 15 laptops are also very solid machines – being powered by Intel Core i5 processors, upgradable to Intel Core i7 Quad-Core.  To complement this solid specifications, the laptop comes with a Hi-Definition 15.6″ widescreen LED display, surround sound with subwoofer, built-in wireless card, 4GB RAM and up to 500GB hard disk space.  For more info on the specs and available designs, check out Dell Studio 15 laptop online store.

Buying at Dell’s online store means you get the opportunity to customise the specs to fit your needs and at the same time, save costs – delivery is free!  Another plus point about this laptop series is that it comes with 1-Year inHome Warranty – saving you time and hassle of bringing your laptop down to the service centres if you face any hardware problems.

Dell certainly know a good design when they see it. I really like the flora one, but having said that i can see why ribbon madness would be popular! Kudos for choosing sweet designs.
