in2it.sg – The Lifestyle Platform for NSmen20 March, 2010
If you are an NSmen looking for friends who might share a passion in your favorite hobby e.g. golfing, photography, look no further than SAFRA’s lifestyle portal in2it.sg which serves as a platform to connect NSmen through their various interest and hobbies. What attracts me most when I first visited in2it.sg is its bright and colorful outlook with various interesting announcements e.g. contest and activity groups.
Another very interesting part of in2it.sg is its in-built social networking functions – it features Twitter-like status updates and allows members to add their friends in their buddy list so that they could keep track of their updates and join in various activity groups. The member area provides a snapshot of the latest happening in the portal as well as your friends – saving you the time and hassle of having to browse through the entire site.
One of the more prominent feature in your member area is the collection of member interest groups available. There are FunkyHouse – “Keep on Dancing”, Fan Clubs for various artistes, Cooking and even Poker groups (one of the more active ones). If you are looking for like-minded individuals to share your passion in a particular hobby, there is no better way to get in touch with them quickly via member interest groups.
One of the more active groups – Poker Group, though not much gambling activity going on (don’t think that’s allowed here) 🙂
Separately, SAFRA also organises a whole suite of activities for its members – these are neatly categorised into Leisure & Entertainment, Lifestyle, Sports, Lifestyle & Hobbies. The more active interest groups include the SAFRA Photographic Club which is one of the most active local photography clubs. Also check out the golfing club if you are looking to pick up some tips from experts on how to improve your handicap scores.
Besides the myriad of activities available through its interest groups, there are also interesting articles contributed by fellow in2it.sg members and it ranges from tips on arts & crafts to info on various travel destinations e.g. Macau. If you have interesting experiences to share, send them to [email protected] with the subject ‘Article Submission’ and you could win 2 free magazines if you are the first 60 to contribute every month.
The forum is perhaps the most interactive and active part of in2it.sg with hundreds of members actively posting and helping each other out with their questions on a range of topics from sports, hobbies to travel. One of the forum threads I frequent most is the Contest section – not only can you participate in the contests but you also get to see the interesting mix of responses/submissions to each of these contests.
Speaking of contests, remember the Facebook contest to win a 500Gb Hard Disk I mentioned in an earlier post? Submit a Chao Keng story you experienced in NS on in2it.sg Facebook wall and get your friends to “like” it. The top 3 participants who have garnered the most numbers of Likes to their wall post, wins a 500gb Fujitsu Calmee Xena portable hard disk. Contest ends 31 Mar 2010.
As part of the celebration of the 1st anniversary of in2it.sg, there will be many contests happening in March where you get to win weekend passes to Universal Studio and $500 Jetstar voucher.
With all these activities going on, the in2it.sg sure is an interesting portal to participate. Sign up now and join in the contests before they end! 🙂 There is another sweetener for those who had yet to join in2it.sg – you can win one of 100 2Gb thumbdrives given to the first 100 SAF NSmen who signed up at in2it.sg meeting these 2 criteria:
1. Use [WMGI] as the referral code when signing up; and
2. Indicate whether or not you are SAF NSman when updating your profile after your first login
Simple? What are you waiting for?! Sign up at in2it.sg (remember the above 2 criteria) and participate in the various WMGI contests. Who knows, you might win some of the attractive prizes.
