Besides being pampered with sumptuous seafood meals, there are many activities to keep us occupied during our 2 Day 1 Night stay at Kukup. There were 3 mahjong tables in the living room plus tubs of mahjong tiles available at the chalet owner’s front porch. This is the definitely the best place for a mahjong marathon!
We brought along our own playing cards though I believe the chalet owner would also have playing card sets available.

We expected the karaoke song selection at Kukup to be limited to old Hokkien songs but surprisingly, they have a huge collection of modern pop and rock songs e.g. Zhang Hui Mei, JJ Lin as well as modern love songs suitable for duets.
The karaoke also has very good sound system so your neighbours will also be able to hear your lovely crooning.
If you are a KTV fanatic, you will love it here – bring along your latest Karaoke songs collection to complete the experience. There are some DVD shops just outside the village – not sure if they sell karaoke CDs though.

If you are tired from all the singing and dry swimming (aka mahjong), you can also chill out by the multi-purpose platform – watching mudskippers and crabs during low tide and nearby fish farms or posing for act-cool photos.

Kukup boasts one of the best sunset view I had ever seen. Take lots of “National Geographic” style photos!
and some romantic pictures with the sunset as the backdrop.

There is a fishing net by the wooden platform. You can operate a motor to lift the net to see what you caught – don’t expect lots of fishes though. There is also a very long pole which you can use to try catching fishes around the house – very low probability of that happening
Perhaps you can use it to catch mudskippers or crabs when its low tide.
Instead, the fishing pole became a photo-taking prop for us. See the following pictures as we make a fool of ourselves with the pole.

I do not have your “back” photo. It’s in Carol’s camera.
I saw the photo where 4 of us had a mind-boggling bridge game.
While I definitely like KTV, majiang is a kind of activity which I would define as escapist.

Hi Crystal, remember to bring your own KTV songs as those songs there are kind of out-dated for us… =P
