18 December, 2009

Legends of the Sea itinerary Royal caribbean CruiseWe will take a break from the Hong Kong posts to share on our 4 Nights Isles of Sea cruise experience onboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Legend of the Sea. Before embarking on this cruise, I had the perception that cruises are overpriced holidays – you get cooped up in a small room with nothing much to do except eating and gambling. It is hard to find cheap cruises. However I realised how wrong I was with this Royal Caribbean Cruise experience – I felt really pampered by the experienced and friendly cruise service staff and there are so many exciting activities to do onboard the ship. Read on to find out more about our experience onboard. 🙂

When you are planning a vacation, there is nothing that can beat opting for a Caribbean cruise. People love the islands of Caribbean because of its weather, water and wonderful shoreline. This made Caribbean number one when it comes to tourist destination among travelers. These series of islands are set in the horizons of the beautiful Caribbean Sea. The chains of Caribbean islands include Bahamas, Jamaica, Aruba, Cayman Islands and Virgin Island. Each of these islands got a small population living in them.

This is a really in depth post of your travels. Thank you very much. I am planning on taking my wife on a cruise for our anniversary next year, and as we will be leaving from Auckland New Zealand the Asian cruises are the most affordable.

I will be reading this again before i make any decision.

    Hi!

Glad I found yr blog. It is both very interesting and informative! Not to mention great layout too.

I just booked a 5N trip w RC on Legend of the sea to Bangkok and am looking for more information. Can you let me know if there are wifi or Internet connection on board? Also how would you rate the on shore tours?

I couldn’t find any details on the land tours and their office number is always busy! I know the Bangkok port of call is 100k away from the city so last thing I want is to pay $100+ to spend 3 hs on bus…..

Hi Roland – internet connection onboard is chargeable (at about 6 USD per minute). The quality of the shore tours/excursions varies e.g. for Phuket, i suggest just sticking around town since its near port. For places that are far off e.g. KL and Bangkok and if you haven’t been there, i suggest taking the day long city tour – but it seems from this site abt the shore excursions available: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/cruiseDetails/shoreExcursions.do?packageCode=LG05I049&selectedCurrencyCode=SGD – you can also consider nearer destinations e.g. Pattaya

There should be more info in the pre-departure cruise booklet they issue you a few weeks before.
