Review of Pullman Sydney Hyde Park and Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour

14 October, 2014

During our recent foodie trip to Sydney, we stayed at two Pullman Hotels with excellent locations and great accommodation and services – the Pullman Sydney Hyde Park and the Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour.  There are many other hotels in Sydney but in terms of location and hospitality, but I think Pullman is one of the best – you can check out Thinkhotels.com for more info on other hotels in Sydney and the best hotel deals. I will provide a quick review of these two Pullman hotels in this blog post.

Pullman Sydney Hyde Park

Pullman Sydney Hyde Park overlooks the iconic Hyde Park in the epicentre of the CBD’s arts, retail and business precincts.  When I went into the room, I was pleasantly surprised with the nice interior designs – the colours and rich tones used in the room makes it a rather stylish room and it was spacious too at about 32 sqm – not bad considering that Pullman Sydney Hyde Park is just a few minutes walk away from Sydney CBD.  The workdesk is also very spacious and there is a good selection of magazines in the room for browsing.

All rooms include either a King, Queen or two Double beds, work desk, lounge area, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen television with 12 Foxtel channels, large bathrooms and corner baths available on request.

Hyde Park is just downstairs – step out of the lobby and cross the road and you have arrived at Hyde Park – a sanctuary of calm amid the Sydney CBD. At the park’s southern end is the ANZAC War Memorial behind the ‘Lake of Reflections’ or ‘Pool of Remembrance’ . A monument consisting of a 104-millimetre gun from the German light cruiser SMS Emden marks the south-eastern, Oxford Street entry of the park. It was built as a memorial to the Australian Imperial Force of World War I. Like I said earlier – Pullman Sydney Hyde Park is just minutes away from Sydney CBD – if you find the Hyde Park area quiet – just walk down Oxford Street (towards the direction of Hyde Park) and you will reach the city centre where you can find all types of restaurants, souvenir shops and shopping. sydney-hyde-park Pullman Sydney Hyde Park 36 College Street – Sydney NSW 2010 – Australia http://www.pullmansydneyhydepark.com.au/

Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour

Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour’s location is one of the best – considering that everyone comes to Sydney to see the icons of Sydney – Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.  If you are staying in one of Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour’s Harbour view suites, you will have a private balcony to enjoy the sights of the Sydney Harbour.
