Christmas-Themed Meals at Sakae Sushi
18 December, 2010We would usually not associate Christmas with Sushi but Sakae Sushi’s latest Signature dishes had manage to show us how they can not only look good together but also taste as good!
The Christmas Tree Wonder ($6.99) (see top left picture) is actually a potato salad with mayo and egg roe as its “decorations” and a star-shaped egg that crowns this “tree” – very interesting ingredients and it tasted as good as it looks and very healthy too! The dish that looks gift-wrapped (bottom left picture) is the Emo Iruka Delight ($6.99) is essentially two layers of 8 maki sushi roll with 2 thin layers of cheese slice in between topped with seaweed – excellent for sharing but might be too much sushi if you are having it yourself.
For the other dishes (3 more unique dishes I have yet to describe here), you just have to try them out yourself at the nearest Sakae outlets – you will be in for a pleasant surprise of what each are made of! 🙂
