Sakae Sushi Teppanyaki Chicken Set Review
31 January, 2010Besides pasta dishes at The Pasta Shop by Sakae, another popular non-sushi dish in Sakae Sushi is its great value-for-money Teppanyaki Set. For just S$12.90, you get a Seafood Teppanyaki Set which comprises of a huge bowl of salad as appetiser, tofu steak (don’t be mistaken – no meat involved; just tofu served up in a yummy manner, cooked well with soy sauce) and rice served (upgrade S$2.50 for garlic rice) with miso soup and vegetables. The meal is then wrapped up perfectly with a scoop of ice-cream.
Besides typical sushi, Sakae Sushi serves up a range of very yummy yet “good-looking” sushi e.g. the Sunshine Maki which is egg-rolled sushi served with prawn – excellent presentation! This belonged to the Special Makimono range and cost S$8.99.
There are limited dessert choices in the current Sakae Sushi menu – just the Tempura Ice-Cream (reviewed in our Woodlands Sakae post) and Mochi Ice-Cream (which comes in all sort of flavor). The Mochi Ice-Cream is a must-try especially a hot pot of sukiayaki. 🙂
