Sakae Sushi Tofu Delights

Tofu is another food area where Sakae had improved on for the new menu. The following are 3 tofu dishes that showcases different styles of preparation of tofu with different ingredients and their taste varied quite differently too.

The Mentaiko Tofu ($6.99) is prepared with salmon paste on top with fried mushrooms dipped in soy sauce, accentuating the salty taste of the tofu.

The Agedashi Tofu ($5.99) is a more common method of preparation of tofu in Sakae Sushi restaurants – fried tofu is served with fresh prawns served in soy sauce.

The Lobster Salad Tofu ($7.99) is one of the most unique tofu dish I had ever tried – lobster paste is served between layers of tofu with mango on top. The plain tofu complements the strong taste of the lobster paste.
