Five Reasons to Take a Cruise during the Christmas Break
11 December, 2012A cruise can offer you the best possible holiday at any time of the year, but with Christmas approaching let’s look at a few reasons why a cruise break could be the perfect winter break.
Stress free celebrations: Christmas should be the big celebration of the year. But if that celebration means that you have to spend the weeks leading up to it preparing several party meals including the mammoth roast on the big day itself then it can be hard to see the joyous aspect that is supposed to suffuse our souls. Take a cruise and you’ll have all the fun you could hope for and yet with no effort from you. That’s no effort at all! How good does that sound already?
The best parties are deck parties: choose your cruise according to how you want to spend Christmas, there are ships that go out of their way to cater for families, and yet still offer areas that are just for adults, while others are far more focussed towards the adult traveller. Whichever suits you best you are sure to have the space to chill out with a book in peace and quiet, but when you want to join the party it’ll be a good one. Everyone from the guests to the staff love Christmas on board and the atmosphere takes some beating.
Everyone wants to be there: one of the things that makes for the best time afloat is that everyone has chosen to be there, and no one has anything to immediately worry about. There’s no rush, and your every need or desire is catered for. There’s no bad atmosphere when the relative arrives who someone else has fallen out with and there’s always somewhere to go when you want some quiet time. You’ll find people from many different walks of life on board, but all united in their desire to have a lovely time at Christmas away from home.
Christmas in the sun, Christmas in the cold – you choose: What’s your dream? A Caribbean Christmas? The excitement of the far east with a luxury liner to escape to when the hustle and bustle of Singapore, or Shanghai gets a bit much, or would you rather sail to the land of Christmas, whether that’s the fjords of Norway, or to see St Petersburg covered in snow as if it’s in the movies? Whatever your favourite destination then getting there on a cruise has to be the ultimate luxury. No other holiday lets you kick back to quite this degree.
Be with the ones you love: Christmas is a lovely time for getting together with friends and family, catching up with people you may not have seen all year. But what about the ones you really care about? That could be just your partner, or maybe the children as well. Getting away for Christmas lets you spend some ultimate quality time together, with all the time you need to wind down, eat fabulous food, explore new places, with every aspect taken care of.
Christmas on board ship is such an exciting time. You can either get into action quickly for this year, you might be able to grab a last minute bargain, or plan a big one in 2013. Whichever you chose we hope you have a fabulous trip that will have you coming back year after year.
