Disney’s Hollywood Studios takes the glitz and glamour of Hollywood and brings it to Walt Disney World in Florida. With some of the biggest and best rides in the Disney World parks, as well as tributes to Hollywood movie legends, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is where movie magic comes to life.

No visit to the Hollywood Studios would be complete without a ride, or two, on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. As the name would suggest, this ride is a high adrenaline experience which is definitely not the faint hearted! The legend goes that during the golden age of Hollywood, the Hollywood Tower Hotel was the epitome of luxury. One dark and stormy night five people were in an elevator going up to their hotel room when the hotel was struck by lightning. The elevator crashed to the ground, but the people were never seen again. Dare you step aboard another elevator, take your chances and maybe enter…The Twilight Zone!

Right next to The Tower of Terror is Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ other high adrenaline ride. The Rockin’ Rollercoaster features the music of Aerosmith as you step on board a super-stretch limousine to travel to one of the bands concerts. Speeding off from 0-60 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds, Rockin’ Rollercoaster is a super high speed, thumping music and neon lit rollercoaster which will get you ready to party!

Getting back to the movie theme, the Disney Hollywood Studios park features The Magic of Disney Animation, where visitors are able to see animation artists bring Disney movies to life in front of their eyes. Visitors are able to go behind the scenes of animation for Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Lion King.

Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show demonstrates to guests how high-speed car and motorbike stunts are created for the big screen, as well as massive fireballs and high tech effects, you might even see Lightning McQueen from Disney’s Cars movies pop up!

The Studio Backlot Tour takes guests behind the scenes of Disney’s Hollywood Studios so see some of the props and set decoration from some of Disney’s most famous movies. Just be careful as floods and explosions are frequent on the Backlot!

Disney World stage shows are always popular with visitors to the theme parks, and the Hollywood Studios does not disappoint, with two large stage shows, one daytime and one night time show. Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage, recreates the classic Disney movie in all its glory. With bright costumes and fabulous dance and song, the romance and magic of this wonderful Disney movie is brought to life before your eyes.

Fantasmic is Disney Hollywood Studios’ night time spectacular which combines, fireworks, special water effects and dazzling pyrotechnics to produce one of Disney World’s greatest stage shows. The audience follows Mickey Mouse into his dreams, discovering the power of imagination and saving Mickey from the Disney Villains who threaten to overturn good.
